How to manage time?
We all possess the most valuable things in our life. Indeed, the life itself is a great blessing and worthful. But to lead life in the successful way, we need to take care of our time. Since every human being has the same twenty four hours daily, but success and satisfaction is obtained only by the people who manage their time efficiently. How can we do that?
1. Establish daily routine
Time management can only be done if we make and adjust plans on daily basis. Since, every day brings some new tasks.
2. List your tasks
Think what tasks are to be done this day. List your tasks every day.
3. Prioritize your tasks
Analyse the tasks to find out more important ones so that more emphasis should be given to these tasks.
4. Assign time and arrange
After important tasks are highlighted, now the proper time should be planned for every task and arrange them.
5. Concentrate on work
The most important aspect of time management is to concentrate on the task while you are doing it. Even little tasks also require attention.
6. Break the tasks into parts
If some tasks are more time consuming, break them into parts and properly adjust time for each part.
7. Control over unnecessary things
It is important to have control over all unnecessary and useless things which waste the time and then main tasks remain unfulfilled.
8. Take breaks during work
If you are a student, my experience and also the experts' opinion is that you should take break during study. Initially, you may work upto 30 minutes with concentration. When you feel the lack of concentration after some period, take break. With the passage of time and self-control, you may concentrate upto 40 minutes, then pause for a while. These breaks help to refresh your mind to work efficiently and calmly again.
9. Avoid multi-tasking
Performing more than one tasks at a time often reduces the concentration and more time is consumed. So to better concentrate, one needs to take heed of one task at a time.
10. Evaluate your progress
At the end of the day, you should review your plans and how much they are fulfilled. If there are some deficiencies, try to analyze the factors behind that. This review helps to correct the mistakes in future planning and better time management.
Keeping in mind and applying these steps can prove helpful for time management.
